I am honored to join the Carson Middle School team as an Assistant Principal. It is a privilege to return to District 8 and once again serve our military community. This marks my forth year as an Assistant Principal and my 13th year in education.
I earned my B.A. in Sports Medicine from Colorado Mesa University, as well as a master’s degree in Special Education and a Principal’s license from UCCS. I am deeply committed to the belief that every student can succeed and make a meaningful impact in the world.
Raised in an Air Force family, I am originally from Maryland, but my family has proudly called Colorado home for the past 28 years. Outside of work, I enjoy golfing with my husband, cheering on our two kids at their soccer games, and traveling.

As a proud FFC graduate, it’s an honor to give back to the district that helped shape who I am as an educator. With 17 years of experience as an educator, 11 of those proudly spent in our district, I’m excited to continue serving the students, families and staff at Carson Middle School as an assistant principal.
I’ve taught at both the elementary and middle school levels, most recently serving at the Dean of Students here at Carson Middle School. I believe all students can learn and achieve when they’re given a safe space to take academic risks.
My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from CSU–Pueblo, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with a literacy focus from the University of Texas at Arlington, and the completion of the principal licensure program at UCCS. These experiences have deepened my passion for supporting both student success and instructional growth. I am committed to fostering a student-centered, hands-on learning environment that allows all students to grow and succeed!
Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, golfing and spending time with my daughter, who will be a sophomore this year.

I am excited and honored to be the new Dean of Students at Carson Middle School. I bring with me 15 years of educational experience from District 8 at Fountain-Fort Carson High School. I have proudly served our district and greater military community as a science teacher and soccer coach throughout my teaching career, and I look forward to continuing that journey here as a Carson Eagle.
My educational background is a B.S. in Chemistry: Environmental Chemistry from Arizona State University. Additionally, I have a Master's degree in Secondary Education from University of Phoenix, and a second Master's degree in Educational Administration through Argosy University including principal licensure. My education and experiences have prepared me for supporting the growth and success of our student population and our hard-working staff.
In my free time I coach youth soccer and enjoy hiking, golf, snowboarding, and being a cat dad with my partner Maggie of 17 years.
