CMS Partners with IKEA to Upgrade Student Lounge

The student lounge at Carson Middle School recently got an upgrade. The new space was debuted during a ribbon ceremony on May 17th.
This will be a social-emotional area where students are invited to get together and collaborate.
IKEA partnered with the school to make this happen. The furniture company sets aside funds each year for life improvement projects, which include initiatives that show appreciation for the military and teachers. TDS Telecommunications LLC also donated a projector and speaker system for this space.
Principal Anthony Greco says his vision is to have eight spaces like this throughout the school. Next, he plans to decorate a space near the front entrance with help from Walmart. This will be a comfortable corner for new families to meet with school administration and fill out paperwork.
